Overview

This is a special coffee from Daterra Farms in Brazil. This lot was inspired by the painter Regina Graz and was part of Daterra's 2022 auction.

Daterra is one of the world-famous farms in Brazil, where coffee is produced with an inspiring commitment to quality and sustainability. All Daterra Farms coffees have been Rainforest Alliance certified since 2003, meaning the coffee is grown on farms where forests, rivers and soils are protected; wildlife is conserved; workers are paid decent wages and given access to medical care and education.

The coffee beans are from the Aramosa varietal, a cross between Coffea Arabica and Coffea Racemosa. This crossbreeding was performed to inherit Racemosa’s low caffeine and drought resistance and Arabica’s flavour. Because the plant produces less caffeine, the beans always taste sweet without bitterness.

The producer cupping notes for this lot are orchids, Porto wine, honey, blackberry and blueberry. This coffee is sure to be a unique and flavorful experience.

Good medium roast

Good balanced cup. My preferences lean more towards a darker roast, so this had some of pleasant earthy and smoky notes I like while also providing so...
