Fast Heating System
- — Bezzera's latest factory technology acts directly on the brew group to dramatically shorten warm-up time. Morning coffee without the wait.

The Bezzera Luce Fast is the upgraded Luce S PID — Bezzera’s compact E61 heat exchanger espresso machine outfitted with the Fast Heating System, the factory-option module that dramatically shortens warm-up time without compromising thermal stability or extraction quality. Built around a 2-litre copper heat exchanger boiler and a genuine E61 brew group with thermosiphon circulation, the Luce Fast delivers proper commercial-grade espresso the moment you’re ready to pull a shot — no more twenty-minute warm-ups before your morning coffee.
A PID temperature controller (adjustable 80–100°C) and integrated digital shot timer give you precision control; an externally adjustable OPV lets you dial brew pressure anywhere from 4 to 13 bar without opening the case. A 4-litre water tank handles back-to-back sessions. The Luce Fast is the evolution of the Bezzera Magica E61. It carries forward the same proven E61 heat exchanger platform that made the Magica a long-time iDrinkCoffee.com favourite, then layers on the Fast Heating System, PID temperature control, and integrated shot timer that the Magica did not have. If you have been comparing the Bezzera Magica with the modern Luce line, the Luce Fast is the Magica's direct successor.
Bezzera hasn’t published a specific warm-up time reduction, but the Fast Heating System is their factory-option module on the Luce S PID designed to meaningfully shorten cold-start time while preserving thermal stability. Real-world experience from similar fast-heat E61 machines puts a warm-up at roughly half the time of a standard HX cold start.
Same boiler, same E61 group, same PID and shot timer, same OPV, same tank. The Luce Fast adds Bezzera’s Fast Heating System — a factory module on the brew group that shortens warm-up time. Everything else is identical.
The Luce is primarily tank-fed (4L reservoir). Plumb-in conversion options vary by market — check with your iDC specialist.
E61 is a commercial-grade brew group designed in 1961 that uses natural thermosiphon circulation to keep brew water at stable temperature. It’s heavy, it’s beautifully overbuilt, and it’s the reason prosumer espresso machines can deliver consistent shots without complicated electronics.
Not included as a factory option on the Luce Fast. Bezzera offers an aftermarket Flow Control kit; ask iDC about dealer installation.
