The Turkish Steel (ST) burrs are specifically optimized for ultra-fine grinding required for authentic Turkish coffee. They maintain the same 25-45 ton lifespan as standard steel burrs while delivering the exceptional fineness Turkish coffee demands.
The 1827 ST achieves up to 180 kg per hour for Turkish grind. While this is lower than medium or espresso grind capacities, it reflects the additional precision required for ultra-fine particle sizes.
While the 1827 ST is optimized for Turkish fine grinding, it does offer stepless adjustment. However, if your primary use is espresso or filter coffee, we recommend the Steel Burrs (S) variant instead.
The Ditting 1827 is the successor to the DK27, representing a strategic consolidation of industrial grinders under the Ditting brand. It maintains the same robust engineering and reliability while benefiting from ongoing improvements.
