Things to love about Caye Smart X Super Automatic Espresso Machine - Dark Grey

Caye Smart X AccuPowderWeigh dose weight on screen

AccuPowderWeigh Grind-by-Weight

  • A C3-grade scale module weighs each dose before brewing and holds it within 0.2 g, even after 300 consecutive cups.
Caye Smart X pulling two espressos simultaneously

Closed-Loop System (CLS)

  • Monitors extraction time and adjusts grind size in real time, re-calibrating itself in as few as three cups after a bean change.
Caye Smart X twin 1.2 kg bean hoppers - Dark Grey

Twin 64 mm CPS Ceramic Burrs

  • Two independent grinders, each with its own BLDC motor, holding particle size variation under 40 microns with far longer burr life than steel.

Vertical Vibrating Distribution

  • Vibrates the coffee bed level before extraction, the machine's answer to the tap a barista gives a portafilter, which keeps channeling in check.

CayeSteam Automatic Milk, Two Milks Built In

  • SuperMix frothing spins air into the milk proteins before steam infusion, then AutoMilk delivers it straight to the cup. A second milk is plumbed in as standard, and the circuit has no restrictor to clog.
Caye Smart X CayeFoam+ separate foam outlet dispensing into a pitcher

CayeFoam+ Separate Foam Outlet

  • A dedicated foam arm beside the coffee spout lets foam and espresso dispense at the same time instead of in sequence, which is what makes latte art workable at service pace.

Separate Steam and Hot Water Boilers

  • 1.6 L each, so espresso, steamed milk and hot water run back to back without the temperature dropping away.

MetaIoT Remote Management

  • Push recipes, track consumption and let the machine diagnose its own faults remotely. The lift-up front panel swaps modules in about three minutes.

The Caye Smart X is a commercial super automatic built around a simple idea: stop estimating and start measuring. Where most machines guess the dose from grind time or puck thickness, the Smart X puts a scale inside the grinder built to the same accuracy class as certified shop scales (OIML C3) and weighs every single dose before it brews, holding it within 0.2 g cup after cup. Two 64 mm CPS ceramic burr sets, each on its own motor, feed a 24 g brewing chamber, and the Closed-Loop System watches extraction time and walks the grind setting back into range on its own. Change beans in the morning and the machine has itself dialled in within about three cups.

That obsession with control carries through the rest of the cycle. A vertical vibration levels the coffee bed before extraction, the machine's version of the tap a barista gives a portafilter, and it keeps channeling from creeping into a busy service. Milk is handled by CayeSteam, which spins air into the milk proteins before infusing steam under pressure, and the circuit is built without the restrictor that clogs so many automated milk systems. This is the two-milk build with CayeFoam+, so a second milk is plumbed in as standard and there is a separate foam outlet next to the coffee spout. That means foam and espresso can go into the cup at the same time rather than one after the other, which is what makes latte art practical at service pace. Separate 1.6 L steam and hot water boilers mean back-to-back cappuccinos are not pulling temperature out from under each other.

For the people who actually have to run it, the Smart X is refreshingly boring. Everything lives behind a 10.1 inch touchscreen that new staff pick up in minutes, recipes and consumption data move over the MetaIoT platform, and the machine flags its own faults before anyone has to go looking. The front panel lifts up and modules swap out in about three minutes, so a service call does not turn into a morning without coffee. Twin 1.2 kg hoppers let you run two coffees side by side, which makes it as comfortable in a hotel lobby or an office as it is behind a cafe bar.
