The flow meter records the exact water volume and will repeat it precisely. Programming takes minutes; reliability lasts for thousands of shots.

Yes. Doses can be reprogrammed anytime through the interface. When you dial in a new coffee or adjust for seasonal changes, simply reprogram the appropriate button with the new target volume. The system is flexible while maintaining consistency—change your recipes when needed, rely on automatic execution once set.

Flow meters measure water volume entering the group, not time. If you grind finer, extraction will slow and take longer—but the machine will still deliver the same water volume. This provides some forgiveness for grind adjustments. However, significant grind changes may require shot timing review to ensure quality. The AV delivers consistent volume; achieving consistent quality still requires dialed-in grind and dose.

The Strada X features Smart Saturation, mass-based profiling algorithms, and individual pumps. The Strada S AV uses traditional flow meter-based volumetric control. Both share low-profile design, multi-boiler precision, and Italian craftsmanship. Choose AV for proven volumetric workflow, Strada X for advanced weight-based profiling.
