The IMS Big Bang is the company's competition-grade precision basket, built around the same B70 platform as the BaristaPro line but with a much higher hole density and a refined wall profile. The 'Big Bang' name comes from the laser-pierced bottom - thousands of micro-holes drilled in a starry pattern that flows more freely than a standard basket and pushes flow uniformity to its limit.
This 14 gram version is the smallest of the Big Bang doubles, with a 21.5 mm wall height. It is sized for traditional double shots in the 14 to 15 gram dose range, and is the basket of choice for baristas who want extraction control on lighter doses, single origin pulls, and competition-style ratios.
Made in Italy by IMS to a 58 mm outer diameter, fits E61 group heads, La Marzocco, Slayer, Synesso, and any other 58 mm portafilter. Ridgeless design, food-grade stainless steel.
