This coffee is from what would have been the 2020 Daterra Farms Masterpieces auction. The auction format was forgoed in 2020 due to the pandemic so the value on these coffees is unbelievable.
The prices these coffees would get at auction would likely be several multiples of what they are available for this year. For example, the Laurina Double Fermented is the same coffee that gave us Frevo last year and Ruda the year before. Frevo set the record for most expensive coffee ever from Brazil at the time.
This is the same varietal that brought the world the incredible Frevo in 2019 and Ruda in 2018. These tiny coffee beans are an absolute delight and with the double fermentation processing method they really push the boundaries of the flavours we can experience in a cup of coffee.
Process: This coffee was made in two parts: first, the Laurina cherries were fermented aerobically. After that, the cherries were pulped and the beans were fermented anaerobically.
