The Kone was designed as an alternative to paper filters for the Chemex, but is also compatible with many drip brewers, including the Ratio Eight, Technivorm Moccamaster, and Bonavita brewers.
The new square-to-round hole design minimizes clogging, which in turn prevents channeling of water and dry pockets of grounds, and ensures a uniform flow of water though your grounds.
The Kone's unique hole size, shape and pattern is made possible through photo chemical etching, an incredibly precise manufacturing process that selectively dissolves metal into solution.
The Kone's new, graduated hole pattern transitions from high desity near the bottom to lower density near the top in order to optimize water flow whether you're brewing a single cup or a larger batch.
The polished stainless finish traps less oil, making it easy to keep clean. And because the Kone is manufactured from a single piece of stainless steel, there is nowhere for grounds to become trapped over time.
The durable, BPA free and food-safe support ring nestles perfectly atop the Chemex, maintains the integrity of the filter's shape after repeated use, and makes the Kone easy to remove after each brew.
The Kone's carefully designed, precision welded blunt tip at the bottom of the filter makes handling safe and creates a tight seal with no slits or gaps, ensuring grounds stay inside the filter.
The entire Kone filter, including all stainless steel and plastic parts, are certified food safe by Interntek, an industry leader in food safety and quality assurance.
